The Pan Scout (or Panslayer as a lot of 2fort locals call him) is a subclass and a way to play as the Scout. It is notoriusly known for primarily using the melee weapon Pan. Because of that, they often get mistaken as a Winterscout
Description[]
The Pan Scout is really indistinguishable from the main species Scout, since almost all of them have everything in common. It's best to analyze Pan Scouts by looking at their behaviour, which is completely different as compared to the main species.
Habitat[]
The Pan Scout's main habitat is unknown, but after some researches and after enlarging my caffeine addiction by drinking at least 500 milligrams of caffeine a day, we found out that Pan Scouts like to migrate to Payload and Capture the Flag servers, especially ctf_2fort servers. We are uncertain about his originis, but we are currently researching and thinking that they came from pl_badwater.
Behaviour[]
The pan scout is often found running relentlessly at enemies and beating them to death with a frying pan. Pan Scouts primarily uses the Pan as their melee weapon, adopting a comedic or unconventional defense strategy when encountering predators. We researchers think this is a fun and lighthearted way to engage with the Team Fortress 2's digital ecosystem, though it might not necessarily be the most effective strategy in terms of defending themself. This is why a lot Pan Scouts tend to die often after trying to bonk various RED/BLU explosive personeel, like the Soldier or Demoman.
Relationships[]
Scannoy[]
Scannoys often dislike the Pan Scouts for their usage of pans, but they prefer not to engage in combat with them as they respect them.
Hoovies and Spycrabs[]
They tend to stay close to Pan Scouts, as they think is a guardian figure.
Scunt[]
There is no arguing that Pan Scouts are a Scunt's natural enemy. Their semi-friendly nature is enough for scunts to put them on the target list.
Demopans[]
Demopans are usual to treat Pan Scouts with respect. They will often get into 1v1 brawls for the laughs.
Loadout[]
Primary:[]
Pan Scouts tend to use any primary weapon they want to. The Force-a-Nature is preferred since they give them a small boost upwards.
Secondary:[]
It depends on the Sub-Species, if it is a pistol or Bonk! atomic punch, it is an Escape Pan Scout, who will use the pistol to hit enemies from afar when necessary or use the Bonk! to run away from harm. If it’s a Flying Guillotine, it is a normal-ish one, able to throw other cooking utensils at the enemy. If it is a Crit-A-Cola, then the Pan Scout is a Crit-Panslayer, AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS.
Melee:[]
Certainly the frying pan (Either normal or australium)
Cosmetics:[]
A baseball cap of some kind.
What to Do[]
Pan Scouts are overall a Neutral class that doesn't tend to attack people. But what you should do if one of them is attacking you? Here's some tips for this situation:
- Avoid taking blind corners, as Pan Scouts have easy advantage.
- Find a safe spot or a place where Pan Scouts can't reach you.
- If Pan Scouts are out of your range, do your best to shoot them down.
- If they are close and attacking you, switch to your melee and proceed to go with a 1v1
- If the situation gets critical, call the RED/BLU personeel for help to eliminate the threat
We remind you that killing a Pan Scout that has not posed a threat is against the enviromental rules and you will face naturalist charges for disrupting the TF2 ecosystem.
